Part 107 is a certificate from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) that allows for commercial sUAS (Small Unmanned Aerial Systems) to operate. Essentially this is a commercial drone pilot's license. 

What a lot of people don't know is that even if you're flying your drone for a hobby, there's still rules you have to follow and you'll have to register that drone with the FAA. The rise in popularity and quality in these drones has made them more accessible to everyone, and unfortunately that sometimes has consequences when irresponsible people start flying. 

Being Party 107 certified means I have a different set of rules to follow than normal recreational pilots, and also means I can get authorizations to fly in places other pilots can't. The benefit of hiring a certified pilot means you don't have to understand all of the rules from the FAA, or worry about legal liability.
